My name is Cosima Brand. I’m a sixth generation English Australian on my dad’s side, and a fourth generation German/Irish Australian on my mum’s side. My dad grew up in the desert town of Copley in South Australia, where my nana ran the Copley Pub and my Pop worked in the mines. Mum is a Sydney-sider with a Catholic background, although my Grampa “Grumps” comes from German Jewish stock.
